Decided to set up a Linux-based kit, keeping things simple and taking advantage of the tools I already have. For now, Qtractor will be the clock, Hydrogen for drums, and then several synths: Ultranova + Nord Stage (hardware) and Surge (software). The idea is to learn about music synthesis while simultaneously playing some music with it.
